All of the surfboards built in The Factory have the "Made in Hawaii" laminate. We do this so our customers know they are getting the best quality, the best materials and the best service.

The surfboards that are made in Asia enter the country with a "Made in China" or "Made in Thailand" sticker on them. The distributors quickly peel them off and sell the surfboards to unsuspecting customers. The customer pays a slightly lower price but gets poor craftsmen ship, low grade materials and a surfboard that will not last.

This 6'2 CK bonzer surfboard was getting the finishing touches today. It's a burgundy pigment lamination with custom fins by Island Fin Design and a 8 1/2" center box. Gloss polish finish with a drill through instead of a leash cup. There have been small fun waves all over the island the last couple of days, perfect for this surfboard.

It's an ugly day for surf. Southwest winds ahead of the front is making for sloppy surf island wide. More pictures from the giant swell that hit Sydney a couple of days ago are becoming available. Some tow-in teams were out and Kelly Slater charged it on twin fin.

Another beautiful North Shore morning; 3 to 6 feet, glassy, no wind and the crowds were light. It seemed like every spot was working. Bonga Perkins was experimenting with 2 solid wood replicas at Haleiwa today. One of them was a copy of a Hot Curl and weighed in at 60 lbs. Look for the story in the next issue of Long Board magazine.
